CG Environmental acquires Mid-America Environmental & Waste Solutions

CG Environmental, an environmental services firm headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, has acquired Mid-America Environmental Solutions and Mid-America Waste Solutions (“Mid-America”).  Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Mid-America is an environmental services company headquartered in Carthage, Missouri, with an additional location in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.  Mid-America’s services include waste transportation and disposal, industrial cleaning, environmental assessments, asbestos abatement, soil and groundwater remediation, and emergency response.  The company was founded in 1990 and performs its services throughout the Midwestern United States.  The company was owned by Dominic and Melissa Whitley, who will remain as executives in the combined company and will be on-going shareholders of CG Environmental.

“Mid-America is a complementary fit with CG Environmental both in terms of geography and services,” said Erick McCallum, CEO of CG Environmental.  “CG can bring some of Mid-America’s services to our customers in Texas and Colorado, and we can bring some of our strengths, including emergency response and bio-hazard cleaning, to Mid-America’s territories.  We look forward to being able to better serve the customers of both companies throughout the Midwestern U.S. and we welcome Mid-America’s employees to our team.”

“We have considered several acquisition partners over the past few years, but none offered the right fit for our customers,” said Dominic Whitley, owner of Mid-America.  “We were looking for a partner who cared about our work family and that had the wherewithal to take it places farther and faster than we could on our own.  CG Environmental is that partner.”

CG Environmental (aka the “Cleaning Guys”) is a full-service environmental company headquartered in Fort Worth TX, with multiple locations in Texas and Colorado.  Its main services include emergency response, hazardous waste disposal, industrial and biohazard (including COVID-19) cleaning, vacuum truck services, Roll-off services, confined space operations, and petroleum services.  CG’s patented and proprietary “Annihilator” trucks and handheld units can get roads and facilities open 15 times faster than with the traditional method of using oil absorbent (“Kitty Litter”), and have the ability to clean 800 square foot per minute on a hard surface.
